Rhubarb Root Extract
It is a free-flowing powder ranging from yellowish brown to dark brown, with the characteristic odor of rhubarb and a bitter taste. Partially water-soluble grades dissolve in hot water, while alcohol-extracted grades are slightly soluble in water and readily soluble in ethanol. The powder is hygroscopic and prone to oxidation and discoloration under light and high temperature.
